Logistics Analyst.

Our client based in Hook is looking for a Logistics Analyst.

Salary: £40,000, hybrid working

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analysing and optimising the logistics processes within the organisation. This role involves collecting and interpreting data related to transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and supply chain operations to identify inefficiencies, reduce costs and improve overall logistics performance. The Logistics Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance the company’s supply chain and logistics functions
 
Key role:
 
  • Data Analysis and reporting relating to transportation, warehousing and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor company KPIs such as OTD and ADL.
  • End of month reconciliation with the Finance department on sales volumes, accruals, transport costs, etc.
  • Oversee the inbound and Outbound shipping process.
  • Monitor and evaluate incident log to ensure root cause analysis is addressed amongst Operations team and process improvements are identified where necessary.
  • Liaise with third party logistics suppliers, leading weekly Operations call and QBRs.
  • Govern inventory and material movements in SAP, ensuring timely completion.


 
Requirements:
 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics and supply chain concepts.
  • Intermediate Word and Excel.
  • Experience using SAP or similar system.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Results orientated.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with industry & company standards, and logistics procedures. Govern controls with monthly reconciliations to ensure J-SOX compliance.
